Donna Marie Rogers has truly outdone herself with Meant To Be, a story that is as heartwarming as it is heartbreaking. This is the kind of book you crawl into bed with on a rainy night, with plenty of twists and turns along the way to keep you guessing and so much steamy chemistry between the protagonists you’ll sport a silly grin on your face.

Garrett is exceptional in this, but then, I knew he would be. His prominence in the first installment, There’s Only Been You, was only a small glimpse of what was to come. In Meant To Be, he’s more than I ever could have imagined. As emotionally flawed as he is physically perfect, he’s a man with a devilishly short hair trigger but a heart as large and vast as the sky. Jessica is endearing as a beautiful and sassy woman that can’t let go of a bad marriage ended by tragedy. She continues to shoulder the blame following the death of her son, something she was in no way responsible for, which is the most devastating thing about her. How can you move forward and embrace the future when you can’t let go of the past?

There is so much I want to say, and if I could, I would harp praise upon praise. The material is tightly written, well plotted and fast paced, and the characters are unforgettable. But I think Meant To Be is best entered into with the only the blurb provided as reference. I refuse to spoil this wonderful story by blabbing. It’s so much better if you don’t know, trust me. Meant To Be is a must read.

Donna Marie Rogers has once again captured her intended audience with her writing style. This second book in the “Jamison series” is well written with lots of drama and tension. I usually do not like suspenseful books but this one captured my attention from the beginning and never let up. Her characters were volatile as well as explosive. The supporting characters were well developed. The plot kept me spellbound throughout the entire book.
The sensuality of the couple was well written and the sex sizzled. However, the conflict soared. Misunderstanding abounded. There were absolutely no slow points in this storyline. Just when it would seem to calm down, another twist would emerge. Rogers has the ability to keep her readers on the edge of our seats. This one is definitely another page turner.
I highly recommend this book, as well as the first in the series, to anyone who likes action and romance with unique endings. I anticipate the third book in the series. The series will make my keeper list.

Do you love characters that are stubborn, honorable, sassy, and just plain lovable? Well, look no further. Jessica and Garrett will keep you on your toes and turning those pages. There are a few plot twists that I didn't quit expect but were entertaining and funny at times. There is an extra relationship which was a nice addition to the story. What touched me the most was watching Jessica and Garrett grow from their past mistakes. I highly recommend picking up this story for anyone who is a lover of romance. This is a story you can not go wrong by purchasing. I look forward to hearing more from this author in the future.

Ms. Rogers did a wonderful job capturing the thoughts and feelings both Garrett and Jessica were going through. I felt as if I knew the both of them personally and I wanted them to find the happiness and contentment they were both searching for. I instantly fell in love with Garrett and felt bad that he was seriously having doubts with his ability at being an officer because of the serious issues that plagued him and his family not so long ago. I had hoped that his leave of absence would provide him the answers he was searching for and allow him to close that chapter of his life so he could make a fresh start. I fell in love with Jessica because she was this sweet girl that just had been dealt a really bad hand in life. She too needed to close the chapter of her past and look ahead to making a fresh start for her and Mr. Louie. Speaking of Mr. Louie, I just loved how comical that cat was throughout the story. Ms. Rogers did a wonderful job with this story overall and I would highly recommend it to others. I guarantee you’ll walk away having a crush on Garrett, as I did, while reading the story. Nicely done!

"Love lost and found is the basis of this wonderfully heartwarming read. Throw in a years-old lie and a strong sense of family and it only gets better and better. A subplot concerning a dirty cop adds a nice mystery to spice up the story."

I have to say Ms. Rogers outdid herself yet again. From the first page, I was pulled into the story and I remained hooked right until the last sentence. I absolutely fell in love with Sara because she’s a survivor, turning a bad situation around and creating a happy home for herself and for her young son. On the flip side, Mike definitely pulled at my heart strings. I hated the fact he left Sara high and dry, but as you read along you realize every puzzle piece falls into place. As I understand it, this is the first book in the Jamison trilogy and I have no doubt Ms. Rogers will knock our socks off with book two. This author has a way of telling a story and pulling you in as if you’re a character in the book seeing everything firsthand. I highly recommend this book and promise you won’t be disappointed! But don’t take my word for it. Pick it up and see for yourself.

Saying that I enjoyed THERE’S ONLY BEEN YOU would be putting it mildly. Especially when I stayed up half the night to finish it, glued to the story. I absolutely loved this story of how two people try and rebuild a relationship after finding out everything they believed to be true was not only a lie, but had stolen eight years of their life together. There were moments I got teary eyed as I realized all they had lost out on. Sara was strong heroine, who made the best out of a bad situation. She believes in protecting and standing by those she loves. This includes her son, from a man she wasn’t sure she knew anymore. In contrast, Mike was just living his life one day at a time. With no real family, Mike had missed the moments when he had been a part of Sara’s own family. Now, with a he never knew he had, Mike is prepared to do all he can to keep this ready made family together.

The suspenseful subplot only adds to this story and keeps you intrigued as to where the story will turn. There’s also definite heat between Sara and Mike, and while this is not an erotic romance, when these two do get together, it is definitely hot and spicy.

Readers of contemporary romance will be thoroughly delighted in reading THERE’S ONLY BEEN YOU as Donna Marie Rogers delivers a tender tale of love, family, and second chances. I’m sure others will join in my great anticipation for her sequels.

Donna Marie Rogers has another hit. You can’t miss THERE’S ONLY BEEN YOU! This story has the stuff to make a Recommended Read. The characters, the plot, and the romance, are something you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed reading this from page one right to the end. The characters in this story are wonderful. Sara, the single mother, is raising a perfect boy, Ethan, and running her own bakery. You see, she met the love of her life, Mike, several years go, but for some reason, he accused her of cheating. He took off and unknowingly left her pregnant. Sara is doing just fine; she has the love and support of her brothers and her uncle. She sure as hell doesn’t need, or want, Mike in her life again. But, we don’t always get what we want. Mike is back in town and can’t help but see Sara. Okay, here’s where the excitement and sparks fly. Sara is angry that he left her without a word and let’s him know it, every chance she gets. It gets humorous, at some parts, when these two start to bantering back and forth. And then there’s a little action between Sara’s brother, Garrett and Mike. These two have lots of nasty things to say to each other. I enjoyed watching Mike slowly work his way back into Sara’s life and discover the things he left behind when he fled town, including his son, Ethan. This boy adds something extra special to this story. Then we have the element of danger thrown in, and I found myself mental biting my nails, waiting for the outcome. I really enjoyed seeing Sara’s brothers and uncle interact into the story: they were excellent second characters. If you’re looking for an unforgettable romance, pick up THERE’S ONLY BEEN YOU. I’ll be waiting impatiently for the next book from Ms. Rogers.

Writers & Readers of Distinctive Fiction:

Review by Sandie Hudson

Donna Marie Rogers has written a romance story that has it all. From the start, Donna pulls you into the world of Sara Jamison and you do not want to leave until you find out what is going to happen in the end. Sara is the one that holds her family together, from Uncle Luke to her young son Ethan. She is the heart of the family. The Jamison’s are a very close-knit family, full of love and respect for each other. You can feel the emotions reaching out to you from each page.

Sara is a heroine that is easy to like and understand. She fights for those she believes in and will stand in the way of anyone who tried to hurt any of her boys.

Mike Andrews is the hero we all love to read about, the boy how grew up with insecurities and when put to the test as a young man; those insecurities win out over true love. Now a grown man, Mike is self-assured, strong and gook looking to boot. Once he finds out the deception that lead him to leave town in the first place and that he has a son he sets his mind on one goal. That of getting the woman back he has always loved and the son he never knew. In the mix, Mike has to investigate a crocked cop, one that has his eye on Sara. Sara’s older brother doesn’t help the situation by his distrust of Mike.

It all a great story and well worth the read.  I’d be interested to read the stories of the Jamison boys at some stage.

There’s Only Been You is a cute, tender love story. It has just the right amount of suspense and controversy to keep you on your toes. All the while, you enjoy the characters finding their way through what was a major act of revenge and learning how it shaped their lives up to this point in time. I liked reading this fresh and energetic book by Ms. Rogers. I look forward to reading the two upcoming books in this trilogy.

I absolutely loved this anthology! In my opinion, Donna Marie Rogers & Stacey Joy Netzel both have unique writing talents and clearly have a winner with this book. I loved the humor sprinkled throughout the stories and laughed at loud with Sugar’s antics. I am a Great Dane owner and I really appreciated reading a story with a Dane in it. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out. This is definitely a keeper in my library and I assure you that you will love it as much as I did. Wonderful job ladies!

This marvelous book was a compilation of four couples who meet and fell in love; what they all had in common (in addition to being kin to each other, in some cases) was that either one or both of them lived in Redemption, Wisconsin. Redemption was a small town which was typical of all the small towns across the U.S. Ms. Rogers and Ms. Netzel each wrote two stories; they intertwined together flawlessly. The first two stories intersected at the town fair...These characters and stories are marvelous; the two authors worked together impeccably. The people interacted so well, and the stories went together so well, it was if one person did all the writing. All eight of the main characters were so great that I had to fall in love with them and envision them all functioning together in the same town forever.

I loved the book and highly recommend it!

Here is another story by Donna Marie Rogers that I absolutely fell in love with.  Ms. Rogers knows how to pen a fun romance, wrapped around a western theme, that will make your heart beat faster for more.  I loved all the characters and they played so well off each other.  I felt bad for James.   To me, it seemed all of his hard work and effort were being taken for granted because of his cut up younger brother, Reese.  He was going to fight with everything he had to save the home his great-grandparents built from falling into the hands of an outsider.  I loved Angela because her feistiness and hard work to keep her head above water had finally paid off for her - or so she thought.  I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Ms. Rogers and I know you will too.  I would most certainly recommend this story to other readers in a heartbeat.  Great job, Donna!

Ms. Donna Marie Rogers has written a great story about a woman who never belonged anywhere and two brothers who had very different ideals concerning life. The only thing they had shared was James’ former fiancée. Ms. Rogers has given her main characters a certain depth and likeability. Her plot contained conflict and underhandedness but there was nothing sinister. I prefer this type storyline because I do not like intense suspense...This book was concise and packed with the great manuscript. I had a hard time putting it down and then was sorry that I reached the end. I highly recommend it as a fabulous way to spend an afternoon.

Ms. Rogers’, GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY, is a beautiful Western Romance that will keep you hooked until the very last page. This book has everything you could want: beautiful romantic love scenes, humor, and, of course, two characters that are complete opposites, yet are perfect for one another. James is a hard-working sexy cowboy who doesn’t take stuff from anybody and is recovering from a betrayal caused by his brother and his ex. I see why he figures he has every reason to doubt any woman who crosses his path. When beautiful fiery Angela comes his way, there is no way he can resist her. I enjoyed watching these two battle it out one minute, then share a little joke or watch James teach her something new, the next. Angela really touched my heart. She’s has had a rough life and never really belonged anywhere. The ranch is defiantly her place and seeing her there added something beautiful to the story. Ms. Rogers’ has a great way with words. As you read the story, you have the picture of it in your head. Congratulations, on another fantastic story!
